Lois Melinda Isenhour, 88, of Iredell, N.C., passed away on January 29, 2023. She was born on June 17, 1934, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late John and Helen Childress Stutts.
Lois was hard working, independent, and loved to learn new things. She retired from a successful career as a sales coordinator for heavy equipment at McCloud/Southeast Industrial Equipment at the age of 75 and was able to create a great life for herself and her family. Lois had a high regard for all things fashion and beauty, and she loved anything sparkly. She was also a wonderful storyteller and talented writer. Lois loved to share memories with everyone she met and always kept her grandchildren entertained with her antics. She wrote poems dedicated to each of her children and grandchildren and even had several poems published in books. Her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren. She loved to spend every weekend with them and any day in between. She treasured every moment she had with her family. They loved her dearly and will miss her beyond measure.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Isenhour; son, Bobby Isenhour; sister-in-law, Hilda Stutts; her beloved Bernice Roseboro (Nanny), and her special cat, Bad Boy.
She is survived by daughter, Lynette Murphy (Tommy); grandchildren, Alex Cortez (Kyle) Peyton Edwards (Maddy), and Ian Isenhour; step-grandchildren, Evan (Sheree) and Cheyenne Murphy; step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Ryley Murphy; siblings, Carl, Johnny (Glenda) and Randy Stutts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Fair View United Methodist Church, Mooresville, N.C., with the Rev. Nathan Finsel officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to stay and enjoy a meal with them following the service.
