Margaret Anne “Nana” Echerd Forsyth, 88, of Statesville, N.C., passed away June 18, 2023, in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Mrs. Forsyth was born July 7, 1934 in Statesville, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Horace Roscoe Echerd and Florence White Echerd. She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and was married to the late Jasper “Cecil” Forsyth for 51 years. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, where she served as a Secretary and was very active.

She is survived by one son, Randy D. Forsyth (Edie); one daughter, Sandy Moran (Alan); sister-in-law, Lori Echerd; two grandchildren, Julie F. Reaume (PJ) and Nicholas Forsyth (Lauren); and three great grandchildren, Kylie Forsyth, Nolan Forsyth and Reese Reaume.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe C. Echerd and William H. Echerd.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. John Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home.
