Mr. Mason Neely Wood Sr., 78, was born in Iredell County, N.C., on October 3, 1944, to the late John Wesley Wood Sr. and Annie Mae Berrie Wood. He departed this life on Monday, August 7, 2023, at his residence.

Mason was a graduate of Unity High School and was employed with the City of Statesville as a Sanitation Truck Driver. He was a faithful member of The United House of Prayer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Ann Turner Wood; five brothers, John Wesley Wood Jr., James Alfred Wood, Franklin Wellie Wood, Howard Wood, and Nathan Wood; and one sister, Bessie Mae Wood Price; niece, Tanza Wood; and step-nephew, Robert Ferguson.
