Matthew Kelly Albright, 21, passed away January 28, 2023. He was born February 18, 2001 to Randall Albright and Delores Dorman Albright. 

Matthew served his country honorably in the Navy Reserves, where he was proud to be a Seabee. He loved to “ Tinker,” and he enjoyed fixing and building things. Matthew is described as a gifted mechanic who loved working on vehicles, especially diesel cars and trucks. Matthew also loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and was a “ firebug.” He was a loving husband, son and friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Estelle Albright, and grandfather John Dorman.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Autumn Albright of Statesville, N.C.; parents, Randall and Delores Albright of Seagrove, N.C.; grandmother, Delores Dorman of Seagrove, N.C.; grandfather, Kelly Albright of Asheboro, N.C.; beloved dog, Stella; and many other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on February 17, 2023, at Grace Baptist Temple in Asheboro, N.C., and 3 p.m. on February 18, 2023, at Redemption Baptist Church, 180 Redemption Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
