Michael “Mike” Charles Davison, 77, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 10:22 p.m., at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born on March 24, 1946, in Rochester (Monroe County), N.Y., he was the son of the late Helen Hannifan Davison.

Mike was a very charismatic individual who was well known and well liked by all who knew him. He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed his dogs. He had a passion for his hobbies, which included mowing his yard, bowling, and wallpapering. Mike bartended at The Iroquois Hotel in New York and the Caledonia Country Club in Caledonia, N.Y. His family stated, “He loved his children as much as he loved life.” Mike was a veteran of United States Army.

In addition to his mother, Helen Hannifan Davison, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Davison; and his nephew, David Hamilton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 31 years, Geri Serio Davison; his children, Christopher Davison and his wife Suzanne, Gretchen Davison Roy and her husband Remie, Matthew Davison, and Nicholas Davison; grandchildren, Riley Davison, Jack Davison, Helena Davison, and Savannah Rivers; sister, Mary Catherine Hamilton and her husband Tom; his half sister, Kay Cracco; nieces, Monica Hamilton and Kate Hamilton Johnson; and great niece and great nephew, Lily Johnson and Oliver Johnson.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. Columba Church in Caledonia, N.Y. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
