Michael “Mike” Keith Phillips, 65, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was born on February 24, 1958, in Rock Hill, S.C., to the late Robert “Bob” and Rosa Phillips.

Mike retired as a captain at the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office and was currently employed by Blossman/Alliance Auto Gas, where he worked educating municipalities on alternative fuel methods for their agencies. Mike enjoyed strumming his guitar, reading his Bible and good books, spending time with family, and watching God’s creations.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carolyn; daughter, Heather Parker; son, Kyle (Melissa) Phillips; and two grandsons, Memphis Parker and Owen Phillips. He is also survived by his brothers, Roger (Pat) Phillips and David (Mitzi) Phillips; and sister, Van (Don) DeLeonard. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members who will miss him greatly.

A service to celebrate Mikes life will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Heritage House at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Heritage House.
