Nancy Patt Sloss, 71, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. She was born on June 8, 1952, in Somerset County, N.J., to the late Raymond and Louise Elliott Patt.

She volunteered at North Stelton Fire Department in New Jersey, managing the bus yard of the county school system. Nancy enjoyed camping, bowling, especially on her Friday night league, yard sales, and sitting around talking with the neighbors. She enjoyed collecting anything with frogs and reading Daniel Steele books. Nancy loved her family, but spending time with her grandchildren is what she enjoyed most.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Delmore; brother, Charles Patt; and son, Martin Lewis.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald “Don” Sloss; sisters, Diane Curry and Marylou Hearne (Thomas); sister-in-law, Nancy Patt (Tommy); brother-in-law, Stephen Sloss (Alice); son, Jason Lewis (Stephanie); and grandchildren, Jacob, and Alexia.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
