Nancy Virginia Burchett McGraw, 73, of Statesville, N.C., went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.

She was born on October 20, 1949, in Alleghany County, N.C., to the late Talmadge and Cleo Roten Burchett. Mrs. McGraw was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Richlands, N.C. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, quilting, Christmas, decorating, baking, and going to church. She loved spending time with her family, especially the joy of her life her granddaughter, Savannah “Savy.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Burchett; and brother, Jimmy Burchette.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Jimmie McGraw; daughter, Nancy Carol McGraw Smith and husband Gary; brothers, Tommy Burchett and wife Linda, Russell Burchette and wife Wanda, Robert Burchette and wife Cathy, James Burchette and companion Kim Russ, Joe Burchette and wife Robin; sister, Ruth Sellitto and husband Mike; granddaughter, Savannah “Savy” Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, from 1 to 2 p.m. a service following at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, Stony Point, with Dr. Dennis Bean officiating. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 28, at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
