Norman Lee Martin Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Reidsville, N.C. He was born on April 4, 1940, in West Virginia to the late Elmer E. and Alzada Martin.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Jean Toney Martin; daughter, Kimberly Kellene Kiff Feaster; brothers, Cecil, Bill, and Davie Martin; sisters, Mary Owens and Mable Rowe; brothers-in-law, James Rowe and Wetzel Owens; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Martin and Sharon Martin.
He is survived by his children, Norman L. Martin Jr. (Bernadine) of Davidson, N.C., and Kathy Schell (Carl) of Reidsville, N.C.; grandchildren, Brandon Kiff (Amanda) of Statesville, N.C., Courtney Schell of Reidsville, N.C., Pamela Workman of Gainesville, Ga., Sarah Chaney (Joshua) of Statesville, N.C., and Rodney Feaster of Statesville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Neveah Kiff, Braydon Kiff, Cedryk Workman, Brenyn Workman, Rhonyn Workman, Trista Hutchens, Levi Hutchens, and Gabriel Chaney; and nephew, Mark Owens of Idaho Falls; and niece, Monica (Ed) Setser of Idaho Falls.
Norman graduated from Barboursville High School and worked as an electrician at Huntington Alloys in Huntington, W.Va. He was a Freemason, a member of the Grand Lodge of West Virginia. He enjoyed bowling and painting. He also loved animals, especially Ginger, Charlotte, Luna, and Chippie.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Statesville, N.C., with Rev. Chip McGee officiating.
