Randall Lewis Penland, 64, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. He was born April 27, 1959, in Kansas to the late David Penland and Margaret Austin Penland.

Randall was a loving partner, father, uncle, brother and friend. He was a great friend to so many people; no one ever had a bad word to say about him. Randall was smart, hardworking and an honest goodhearted man. He enjoyed the outdoors; one of his favorite activities was fishing. He also enjoyed going to yard sales. He adored his dog Tigger, and they were inseparable. He will be deeply missed and his memory will be cherished by many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Debbie.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved Kimberly Whitson; sons, Adam Whitson and Aaron Whitson; brother, Kristopher Penland; nephews, Kristopher Penland and Christian Penland; niece, Ava Maureen Penland; stepmother, Brenda Penland; and his adored furry companion, his dog, Tigger.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
