Mr. Richard Nathaniel Sherrill, 77, was born in Statesville, N.C., on June 8, 1945, to the late Edgar Sherrill and Blanche Jones Sherrill. He passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023.

Richard attended Iredell County Schools and at one time attended Western Avenue Baptist Church. He was formerly employed at JC Steele as a molder. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Willie Louis Jones Parker.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his wife, Lillian Bailey Sherrill; two sons, Richard Bernard (Marivic) Sherrill of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Scottie Nathaniel Sherrill of Statesville, N.C..; Maggie Bailey, Georgia Minor, Glenda (Daniel) Rucker, Marybell (Leon) Parker, James (Annie Mae) Bailey, and Mack (Wanda) Bailey, two sisters, Deborah Sherrill, and Wanda Sherrill, both of Atlanta, GA.; five grandchildren, Imani Sherrill Adams, Shaila Sherrill, Richard E. Sherrill, Daylen R. Sherrill, and Breshana M. Sherrill; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
