Mrs. Sharondria J. Jackson, 50, was born in Iredell County on August 12, 1972, to Cheryl Yvonne Jones Gray and the late Richard Henry Barber. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, N.C.
Sharondria graduated from Statesville High School with the Class of 1992 and worked as a child care worker for Future Generations of Statesville.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roderick D. Jackson.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her mother, Cheryl Yvonne Jones Gray; a daughter, Sakiya Danelle Jackson; goddaughter, Nyasha McKee of Charlotte; sisters, Chantel Bonett Jones, and Wendy Yvonne Jones, both of Statesville, and Shanika Alexander and Tasha Johnson, both of Charlotte; two uncles, Charles (Vielka) Jones of Shirley, Mass., and Robert Jones of Lauren, S.C.; six aunts, Bonnie (Lewis) Clark of Winston-Salem, Annette (Johnny) Pless of Statesville, Rosetta Alexander of Charlotte, Rhonda Jones of Winston-Salem, and Margaret Barber of Statesville; and a host of nieces, and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Shiloh AME Zion Church at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Dr. Patricia Ann Gaines will officiate and Rev. Jimmy Griffin will deliver the eulogy.
