Sherry Ann Taylor Jackson, 73, of Statesville, N.C., died Friday, October 13, 2023, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., after a brief illness.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on November 15, 1949, to the late Sebern Taylor and Ruby Mumford Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Jay” Jackson; two brothers, Sebern Taylor and Kenneth Taylor; two sisters, Vivian Allen and Donnie Faulk; and a niece, Heather Faulk.

Sherry was a devoted mother, wife, and friend, and was always helping others. She was the best cook to her family and friends as well as an awesome Do It Yourselfer.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Cindy Jackson; a son, Christopher Jackson (Brittney); a brother, Leslie Taylor (Tom); and an honorary grandson, Weston Mitchell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She loved each one dearly.

A private service will be held later.
