Sondra “SMAC” McIntosh Curtis, 62, of Mt. Ulla, N.C., passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, N.C.

Born March 26, 1961, in Scottsville, Va., she was a daughter of Richard Loyd McIntosh Sr., of Statesville, N.C., and the late Carolyn Hager McIntosh. Sondra was a retired electronic technician for AT&T. She was a member of Rocky Mount Church, Mooresville.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janice.

In addition to her father, Sondra is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ricky Curtis, whom she married August 9, 1980; children, Joseph Michael Curtis and Jodie Curtis Williams (Ralph); grandchildren, Baylee Williams (Grayson) and Kaige “Biscuit” Williams; great grandson, Ryder Wayne Williams; sister, Cheryl Fitzpatrick; brothers, Richard “Rick” McIntosh Jr. (Cathy) and Scott McIntosh (Janie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Rocky Mount Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Jamie Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m., prior to the service at the church.
