Teddy Edwin Haithcox, 68, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Statesville, N.C. He was born on July 13, 1955, in Iredell County to Joseph Linford Haithcox Sr. and Nickie Carter Haithcox.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Ricky Haithcox, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War.
Teddy is survived by his sister, Donna Haithcox Lackey (Lee) of Mooresville, N.C.; brothers, Jay Haithcox (Deborah) of Statesville, N.C., Doug Haithcox (Donna) of Jensen Beach, Fla., and Max Haithcox (Connie) of Monroe, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Teddy was a 1974 graduate of North Iredell High School. He loved not only listening to music, but also playing music, especially the guitar and drums. He also enjoyed walking through the woods, playing golf, photography, drawing and painting.
A graveside service for Mr. Haithcox will be held at the Abilene Church of Christ Cemetery on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. Max Haithcox will officiate.

I grew up with Teddy. He was our drummer in our band and a fabulous musician. Although I haven’t seen him in quite a while when I did he was always the same kind and gracious guy I remembered from long ago. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. God speed my brother.
