Thomas “Gene” Haire, 84, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Monday, December 11, 2023.
Gene was born In Iredell County on May 22, 1939, to the late Albert Wiley Haire and Annie Miller Haire. He was the owner of a trucking company for 20 years and Gene’s Produce for 28 years. He was a loving husband , father and grandfather. Mr. Haire was known for his strong work ethic, and he worked hard to provide for his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing out at his pond.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Robert Lambert
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Haire; sons, Ricky Haire (Tina), Tommy Haire (Tammy) and Brad Haire (Sarah); daughters, Trisha Jordan (Bill) and Beth Brown (John); four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

I loved going to Gene’s Produce. Mary was lovely and so was the woman at the register. Mary, I hope you are well. I am Louise Warren’s niece and used to come in regularly. Sending love to you and your family.
