Wade A. Campbell, 95, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2023.

Mr. Campbell was born in Davie County, N.C., on January 10, 1928. He was the son of the late James Columbus Campbell and Fannie Anderson Campbell. He attended Oxford School and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. On September 16, 1948, he married his beloved wife and best friend, Evelyn Hayes Campbell. Together, the Campbells shared more than 75 years of marriage. Wade worked for Southern Screw, Hayes Insurance Co., and also at Merchants Metal in Statesville. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Wade loved being outdoors, gardening and feeding his fish.

Along with his parents, Wade was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Sylvester and Jay Campbell.

Those left to cherish the life and legacy of Wade Campbell include his wife Evelyn; his sons, Danny (Nancy) Campbell, Rick (Susan) Campbell, and Mark (Debbie) Campbell; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren.

Service arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Troutman Funeral Home.
