Winford Samuel Seegar, 76, of Harmony, N.C., passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.
Mr. Seegar was born in Seffner, Fla., on June 30, 1946, the son of the late Samuel Denson Seegar and Pauline Prather Seegar. Winford was a graduate of Hillsborough High School in Florida and received an associate degree from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, S.C. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. In 1974, he married his beloved wife, Tita Schnaiter Seegar, who survives. Winford was self-employed as a Concealed Carry Weapons Instructor, a member of VFW Post 2031 and North Iredell American Legion. He enjoyed caring for his dogs and dearly loved his grandkids.
Along with his parents, Winford was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a niece.
Those left to cherish the life and memory of Winford Seegar include his wife of 48 years, Tita; his son James David Seegar (Jessica); his son Samuel Denson Seegar (Lynda); eight grandchildren, Taylor Surratt, Samuel Denson Seegar III, Michael Joseph Seegar, Ian Ray Seegar, Liam James Seegar, Reagan Nichole Surratt, Cody Everett Seegar and Emmalynn Leadaye Seegar; his sister Elaine Zwicke (Joseph); and one niece and one nephew.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later time and will be announced by Troutman Funeral Home.
