Zina Burrell Parlier, 59, of Statesville, N.C., went home to be with her Lord on Friday, December 22, 2023, following an extended illness of seven months. She was the wife of the late Todd Parlier and the daughter of the late William Haskell and JoAnn Cline Burrell.
Zina was a graduate of West Iredell High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Lenoir Rhyne University. She taught in the Iredell-Statesville Schools system for 21 years. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Zina enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Blankenship.
Zina is survived by two daughters, Taylor Parlier (Justin) Parks and Connor Parlier; and one sister, Rhonda Burrell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the near future and that information will be published as soon as it becomes available.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Zina’s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
