Alfred “Al” Bryant, 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Novant Presbyterian Charlotte. He was born October 26, 1936, in North Wilkesboro, N.C., to the late William Henry Bryant and Gertrude Myers Bryant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 15 siblings, and his loving wife, Delcie Jean Bryant, in July 2024.

Al proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was actively employed at NGK in security. He was a longtime member of Mooresville Church of God. Al was a “cool dude” by making sure that everyday had laughter in it. He always had a smile on his face. His laughter and his light shone wherever he was.
He made certain that he was always there for his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Al is survived by his children, Mitchell Bryant (Lynn) and Deanna Deaton (James), and honorary daughter, Krissy Bailey; grandchildren, Eddie, Autumn, Chevy, Bear, Clint, Kameron, and Asia, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, September 22, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Mooresville Church of God. The service and Celebration of Al’s Life will be at 3 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Wise officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
