Alisha Elliott Custer, 71, of Little River, S.C., went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2024, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital after an extended illness. Alisha was born November 1, 1952, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Ralph Grady Chapman and Patricia Alexander Chapman.

She was a retired schoolteacher at North Myrtle Beach Elementary School after 40 years. She also taught Sunday school for 20 years. She was a member of North Strand Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Anthony Chapman, and one nephew, Ralph Preston Chapman.

Survivors include her loving husband Carl Custer of the home; one son, Ashton Murray Elliott of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Lana Elliott Yeager and husband Michael of Little River, S.C.; one brother, Ashley Chapman of Stony Point, N.C.; one sister, Amanda Pope of Stony Point, N.C.; two stepsons, David Custer and Carl Custer Jr., both of Little River, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Custer and husband Nick of Loris, S.C., and Marianne Custer and husband Gary of Connecticut; and nine grandchildren, Braeden, Savannah, Ava, Michael, Mya, Mattie, Gage, Landon and Orson.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Little River. Rev. Tim Brittain will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to North Stand Community Church, 2582 Mt. Zion Road, Little River, SC 29566.
