Allen Wayne Miller, 77, of Statesville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House. He was born November 27, 1946, in Iredell County to the late James Charles Miller and Bessie Lackey Miller.

He was retired and then later worked for Trays Transport. He was a member of Charity Bible Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife June Linda Scott Miller.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony Wayne Miller of Statesville, and David Allen Miller and wife Shannon of Hiddenite; two daughters, Christina Miller of Statesville and Angela Miller of Statesville; one brother, James Gary “Motor” Miller of Statesville; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Derek, Cameron, Brandon, Austin, Jessica and Landon; three great-grandchildren, Kade, River and Brantley; and two nieces, Paula and Leslie.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Pastor Brian Sipes and Pastor Curtis White will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the cemetery from 10:30 to 11 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville NC 28625 and Charity Bible Church, 1104 King James Drive, Hamptonville, NC, 27020.
