Amy Lynn Detsch Dietz, 55, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born October 11, 1968, in St. Marys, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Joseph Frank Detsch and Regina Mae Bobenrieth Detsch.

Amy earned her associate degree from Penn State. She worked as a quality engineer for GKN Sinter Metals in Conover, N.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jeff Newell. She is survived by her husband, William “Billy” Dietz Jr., whom she married August 30, 1991; daughter, Summer Dietz; her dog, Georgia; and sisters, Chris Newell, Laurie Geitner (Ian), Carol Lilja (Chip), Joanne Yost (Randy), Mary Lee Vollmer (Alvin) and Lisa Dippold (Ronnie).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Women’s Shelter, Humane Society or Food Bank.
