Mrs. Angela Faye Howard Holmes, 63, of Statesville, N.C., was born in Iredell County on May 23, 1961, to Alice Howard and the late Hose’ Howard. She departed this life peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024, at her home.

Angela was also preceded in death by a daughter, Meshia Howard; a sister, Ardell “Von” Howard; an uncle, Eddie Lee Clark; and aunts, Phyllis Clark Stevenson and Bessie Lee Clark.

Angela was a graduate of Statesville High School and loved shopping.

Angela leaves to cherish the memory of her life a son, Omarion Howard of Statesville; three daughters, Parara Howard of Winston-Salem, Jamie (Eric) Wilson of Statesville, and Antaniqua Smith of Charlotte; a bonus daughter, Katrena (Frank) Dobson of Statesville; two brothers, Anthony (Kim) Howard of Mooresville and Ronald (Lisa) Howard of Salisbury; one sister, Tabatha (Patrick) Clyburn of Statesville; an aunt, Thelma (Gary) Hall; grandchildren, Derrion Turner of Raleigh, Kadeya Howard, Eryana Howard, Shvontae Howard, Erica Thibon, Ebby Thibon, and Pharrell Howard, all of Winston-Salem, Eric Thibon Jr., Shakai Mott, Jaidin Hickman, Jossiah Hickman, Jared Rush, and Eric Wilson III., all of Statesville; bonus grandkids, Aaliyah and Jayonte Wilson, both of Mooresville; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
