Mrs. Anita Moore Fesperman, 93, died peacefully at home on August 23, 2024. She was born March 26, 1931, in Iredell County to the late John Espy and Mae Lou Edmiston Moore.
She graduated from Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1949, and worked at Brawley Seed Company in her hometown after graduation. She and her husband owned and operated Iredell Milk Transportation, from where she retired in 1999. She was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Fesperman is preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Alexander, Johnsie Oliphant, Ruth Patterson, Dorothy Compton, and Edna Turner; and brothers, Frank Moore, Fred Moore, and J.E. Moore.
Mrs. Fesperman is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, John Wyatt Fesperman; children, David (Sabrina) Fesperman, Nancy (Robert) Alsobrook, and Betsy (Ernest) Pruitt; sister, Rebecca Booe; grandchildren, Matthew Gabriel, John (Kelly) Fesperman, Michael (Courtney) Fesperman, Sara (Kory) Barrier, Weston Pruitt, and Jacob Pruitt, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, August 27, at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center of Prospect Presbyterian Church. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery, with Rev. Will Gipe officiating.
