Ms. Annie Ruth Little, 70, was born in Rowan County, N.C., on December 15, 1953, to the late Enis Little and Elwillie Geter Little Barkley. She departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Annie earned her GED and went on to become a private duty CNA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Little and Enis Little Jr. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her two daughters, Tia Laree Little of Gastonia, N.C., and Deneen Garvin Whitaker; a brother, Clinton Little; two sisters, Patricia “Tresia” Little and Barbara Ann Cherry; a special friend, Mary “Rabbit” Cuthbertson; a special sister/cousin, Cynthia Nesbitt Clark; three grandchildren, Michael Garvin, John Jones Jr., and Aaliayah Jones; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Elder Greta Angle will be officiating the service.
