Anthony Lee “Tony” Scherman, 55, of Mooresville, N.C., and formerly of Rochester, Mich., passed away suddenly on Friday, March 22, 2024. He was born June 8, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, son of Terrel “Terry” and Faith Ann “Trudy” Scherman.

Tony was a highly skilled master plumber who never met a stranger. Because of his outgoing nature and gift of conversation, many builders and customers became his good friends.

Tony enjoyed being in nature, especially trips to Hatteras Island to wind-surf in the sound and visits to Linville Gorge to relax at the waterfall.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Skyelor Scherman; sisters, Angie Forester (Greg) and Amber Hof (Ralph); nephews, Wyatt Bailey (Stephanie) and Ralph Hof; and niece, Holly Bailey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date at Hatteras Island Sound.
