Barbara Jane Hastings Wright, 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was born on April 20, 1937, in the Coddle Creek Township to the late Laurie Eugene and Addie Bell Brown Hastings.

Barbara was a faithful member of West Corinth Baptist Church in Mooresville. She enjoyed puzzles, coloring, word searches and Bible study.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Rufus Wright; one son, Tony Wright; and one sister Ruth Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Samuel H. Wright and wife Diane “Michelle” Wright of Mooresville, and Susan Wright Lindgren and husband Scott of Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Glenn and Justin Flick; and one sister, Joyce White.

A funeral service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at West Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Suttles officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Corinth Baptist Church, 120 Corinth Church Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.
