Betty Collins Dobey, 79, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at her home. She was born August 23, 1945, in Mooresville to the late Floyd Collins and Carmel Brannon Collins.

Betty was a Registered Nurse. She worked for Mecklenburg County and the VF Corporation in Mocksville, N.C., before her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Collins.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James “Jim” Thurman Dobey; sister; Jane Rogers; sister-in-law, Vonnie Collins; niece, Lisa Kirk; and nephews, Lee Collins and Phillip Collins.

Visitation for family and friends will be January 2, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
