Beverly Watson Manchester, 82, of Statesville, N.C., went home to meet her Savior on March 3, 2024. She passed peacefully in her sleep at home and now rejoices in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. Watson of Cheraw, S.C., and Julia B. Watson of Wadesboro, N.C.
Beverly was a wonderful, godly woman, finding Jesus at the tender age of 16 while attending a Billy Graham Crusade in 1958. She graduated in 1960 from West Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, N.C., and six years later, she married James H. Zeman, now deceased, and had two daughters, Gina and Erin. In 1975, she married Neal L. Manchester and had a son, Neal, and another daughter, Shirley.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Neal Manchester of Statesville, N.C.; brother, John Watson Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Gina Z. Wallace and husband Mark of Indian Trail, N.C.; daughter, Erin Looney of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Neal L. Manchester of Stony Point, N.C.; daughter, Shirley Harding and husband Jesse of Statesville, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Brianna, Trevor, Julia, Adrian, Emily and Kristen; and four great grandchildren, Caydence, Aveannah, Micah and Julian.
She was a devoted member of the Landmark Church of God congregation for more than 30 years and was much loved by everyone. Her church will be hosting her celebration of life memorial, the details of which will be announced. Flowers and memorials can be sent to the church’s address at 2200 E.
