Billy Ralph Holmes Sr., 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in Harmony, N.C. He was born on June 28, 1952 in Iredell County.

He was a member of St. Peter’s World Outreach in Winston-Salem, N.C., and worked as a full time farmer.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Holmes; and his brothers, Robert Holmes and Ronnie Holmes.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Priscilla Steele Holmes; son, Billy Ralph Holmes Jr. (Tonitia) of Hickory; daughters, Nartarshia Walker (Louis) of Hickory and Kitiara Hurt (Steven) of Harmony; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Holmes will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 1 until 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ardeal Roseboro officiating.

The family will host a Celebration of Life service on Sunday, September 8, 2024, on the family farm at 329 Kimmon Road in Harmony beginning at 2:30 p.m.
