Brenda Kay Sherrill Caldwell, 81, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House. Born on January 21, 1943, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Kara Click Sherrill and Frances Sherrill.

“Kay” was a flight attendant for over 38 years for American Airlines. She formerly attended The Cove in Statesville. Kay was a woman of true beauty. She had a compassionate and caring heart and will be truly missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Nelson Claywell.
