Cailan Casandra Bennett, 23, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Cleveland, N.C. She was born on October 15, 2000, in Iredell County to Justin J. Bennett and Carissa Marquez Bennett.
Cailan was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Marquez.
She is survived by her daughter, Erika Handley; fiancé, Emrick Handley; father, Justin Bennett; mother, Carissa Bennett; brother, Aidan Bennett; sister, Riley Bennett; and grandmother, Joyce Marquez.
Cailan was a talented artist who truly cared for others, but most of all she was an amazing mother.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 23, at 11 a.m., at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, where Cailan was a member. Father Bernard Oleru will officiate.
