Carol Jean Copeland Mullins, 93, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov 1, 2024.

Carol was a member at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville, N.C. She was born in Defiance, Ohio, to the late Darryl and Clarice Knisley. Carol was a devoted wife to her late husband Charles B. Copeland for 47 years, raising her three boys, Charles McKim, David Jay and Scott Robert. Raising her family in Indianapolis was among the happiest times. She enjoyed her time at their lake house on Lake Freeman, playing tennis, traveling, playing bridge, and being a homemaker, and she took great pleasure in making her home look like a showcase. She adored her time with her horse Moose and always had dogs and cats in their homes.

Carol later married George Mullins. They had 24 lovely years together, relocating to Mooresville, N.C. She enjoyed spending time with her son Scott and his family on Lake Norman. Carol was a woman of unwavering strength, boundless love and compassion to her family. She faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Her smile was her biggest attribute.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles B Copeland and George Mullins; sister, Sharon Morgan; and sons, Charles McKim Copeland and David Jay Copeland.

She is survived by her youngest son, Scott Robert Copeland; and Bobbie Copeland, daughter-in-law and wife of the late David Jay Copeland. Also surviving are grandchildren, Morgan and Rob Sanders, Charles and Jessie Copeland, David and Francesca Copeland, Maxwell Copeland and Karina Cestaro, Matthew and Demi Copeland, andClaire Copeland and Alex Bowen; and the apple of her eye, her great grandson Henry R. Sanders.

An inurnment will be held privately at Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray, Pa., with her loving family.
