Carol Jean Allman Stutts, 80, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Best of Care Nursing Center in Kannapolis, N.C.

She was born on February 28, 1944, in Cabarrus County, N.C., to the late Gray and Mattie Chapman Allman. Mrs. Stutts was retired from Draymore Manufacturing. She was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. She loved walking with her friends, playing cards, and working in her garden. She loved animals, especially her dogs. Mrs. Stutts will be remembered for her great sense of humor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Bynum; and brother, Wayne Allman.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Larry Gene Stutts; children, Lavern Stutts, Terry Stutts, and Donna Anderson (Lewis); grandsons, Kevin Stutts, Douglas Stutts, and John Stutts; step grandchildren, Amy Anderson and Barrett Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 24, from 6 to  8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 25, at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. Will Gipe officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
