Carolin Florence Wagner Kline, 84, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2024. An extraordinary lover of all animals, she rescued, fostered and for over 20 years, was a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of America.
She was born on March 29, 1940, in Hollywood, Calif., to James and Patricia Wagner. One of her fondest childhood memories was hiking with her dad up to the base of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.
She is survived by her daughter Corrine Lewis, son-in-law David, and grandsons Jake and Tyler, along with her son Ron Kline Jr., daughter-in-law Christine, granddaughter Lauryn and grandson Zane.
She loved her family and absolutely loved being a Grammy. She is also survived by her beloved dog Cruzer and two cats Kitty and Kitty. She loved going on daily walks with Cruzer and Kitty.
Carolin had a wonderful career as a secretary for the Los Angeles Unified School District at Mt. Gleason Jr. High, from where she retired. She always did more than was asked and cared deeply for the students.
She loved crafting, including scrapbooking, wood working, painting, making cards and gardening.
Carolin was a very hard-working woman and would help anyone in need. She lived independently for over forty years.
Her favorite Bible Verse is Psalm 23.
“The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Services will be held at a later date.
