Charles Alan Long, 69, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. He was born on December 22, 1954, in Cook County, Ill., to the late Vern and Marion Hunter Long.

Mr. Long was a retired mechanic that worked at Riley Motorsports, Level 5 Motorsports, as well as other various motorsport teams. He was a member of the Capri Club of Chicago, International Order of the Demolay, Lansing, Illinois, and a member of the SCCA.

Mr. Long is survived by his wife of 36 years, Beryla Trotter Long; sons, Christopher Long and wife Brittany, and Cameron Long; sister, Barbara Long Scotese and husband Joe; brother, Edward Long and wife Ginny; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held by the family.
