Clifton Lamont Wellman, 49, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024. Born in Iredell County on February 1, 1975, he was the son of the late Ronnie Lee Alexander and Barbara Wellman Alexander.
Mr. Wellman graduated from North Iredell High School, Class of 1994, and served in the United States Navy.
In addition to his father, Clifton was also preceded by his grandparents, Lonnie and Ruby Wellman, and his uncle, Ronnie Wellman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara; sister, Ronika Alexander-Ortman (Wayne); brother, Amani C. Alexander; nephew, Devin A. Ortman; aunts, Patricia Scott and Kathy Wellman; uncles, Keith Wellman (Nancy), Carl Wellman, and Charles Wellman (Diwatha); and a special friend, Chenedra Caldwell.
A host of extended family, uncles, aunts and cousins also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Minister Kevin Little officiating.
The family will speak to friends following the service.
