Clyde David Lippard, 92, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on August 27, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House. Clyde was born March 11, 1932, in Iredell County. He was the middle son of the late Robert Guy Lippard and Vernie Speaks Lippard.

On April 11, 1953, Clyde married Evadean Rash, who preceded him in death on June 18, 2020. They were blessed with 67 wonderful years together.

Clyde attended Iredell County Schools and after serving in the U.S. Army he attended Kings Business College. He retired from Kewaunee Scientific Corporation after 29 years of service as a cost accountant.

Clyde was a faithful member of Monticello Baptist Church, where he served in the past as a deacon and as the church treasurer.

Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Cindy L. Speece (Keith), and Annette L. Ireland (Wendell); son, DeWayne M. Lippard (Penny); grandson, Corey A. Speece (Emily); and three adopted granddaughters. Also surviving is his brother, James A. Lippard (Jo).

Clyde was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lewis Lippard.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Grassy Knob Baptist Church Cemetery with Hospice Chaplain Rev. Teresa Stewart-Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
