David Hugh Land, 75, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away Wednesday July 17, 2024, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Va., following a brief illness. He was born in Alexander County on March 31, 1948, to the late Eli Land and Marie Adams Land.

He worked in construction as a plumber and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister Gena Carver.

Survivors include one brother, Alan Land and wife Naomi of Stony Point; one sister, Brenda Faye Stikeleather of Anson, N.C.; one nephew, Michael Land and wife Lizet; and one niece, Lisa Mundy and husband Guy.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
