Donald Blair Creedmore Sr., 89, of Statesville, N.C.,  died Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Tega Cay, S.C. He was born on December 19, 1934, to the late Marshall Blair Creedmore Sr. and Ila Rosell Austin Creedmore.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Cook Creedmore, and his loving companion Helen Jenkins, whom he met after his wife’s death. Also preceding him in dearh were his brothers, Ardon Davis Creedmore, Ralph Austin Creedmore, M.B. Creedmore Jr., and Johnny Spencer Creedmore.

Donald was a 1954 graduate of Cool Springs High School, and Past Master of Lodge 27 AFAM. For 26 years, he worked at A&P Food Store and then as a salesman for Glidden Paint. Donald was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and on various committees. He was also a member of Gideons International. He also served his country being in the National Guard for seven years, serving through the Cuban Missile Crisis.

He is survived by a son, Donald “Blair” Creedmore Jr., and his fiancée, Tracy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Scott Eanes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends and family from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
