Donald Roy Sloss, 67, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born October 29, 1956, in Newton, N.J., to the late Clarence Sloss Jr. and Ann Washer Sloss.

Don was a volunteer firefighter who enjoyed helping people, collecting fireman mugs, and chatting with his neighbor. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Patt Lewis Sloss.

Those left to cherish his memory include his twin sister, Nancy Patt, and her companion, Tommy Edwards; his brother, Stephen Sloss, and his wife Alice Marie; his stepson, Jason Lewis, and his wife Stephanie; his grandchildren, Jake and Lexie; and several nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating Don’s life will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
