Dorothy Jane Lawrence Crawford, 95, of Statesville, N.C., died Monday, June 17, 2024, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Clover, S.C., to the late Campbell Lawrence and Pearl Knox Lawrence.

Dorothy was a Registered Nurse before marrying William Henry Crawford, who preceded her in death. After being married, she chose to stay at home and raise her family. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, shopping, reading, watching westerns, cooking and working crossword puzzles. She also loved her flowers and feeding the birds. Dorothy was a two-time breast cancer survivor.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Burt Crawford (Norie); three daughters, Lois Perdue (Sam), Jackie Smith (James), Mary Rose Kennedy (Barry); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anne Bass.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 7:30 a.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor Tim Glaser officiating.
