Mr. Erik Jerard Ramsey, 29, of Troutman, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2024. He was born on June 19,1994 in Troutman, N.C.

Erik was known for his kind and helpful nature. He was a friend to many, always willing to lend a helping hand and bring happiness to those around him. He had a contagious smile that would light up a room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Glenn Edward Ramsey; brother, Edward Nathaniel Ramsey; stepbrother, Shawn Austin Holland; stepmother, Regina Ann Quick; and paternal grandfather, Nathaniel Ramsey.

Erik was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Wilkes Ramsey; maternal grandmother, Betty Katherine Wilkes; maternal grandfather, Otis Fred Wilkes; and paternal grandmother, Alma Sue Ramsey.

Erik is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved him tremendously.

Erik graduated from Presley School and later pursued a career at Two Men and a Truck. He found joy in playing video games and cherishing moments with his family.

A service to honor Erik’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Christ Boulevard United Methodist Church, located at 1947 East Broad Street, Statesville, N.C., with the Rev. Bobby Rackley officiating. Visitation will occur before the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m.
