Mr. Franklin Bernard Green, 51, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was born in Newark, N.J., on December 17, 1972, to Patricia Gail Green and the late Franklin Bernard Sharpe.

Franklin attended Statesville High School and he was a Carolina Panthers fan. He worked at Uniglass Industries.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his life two sons, Tyrese Richardson of Statesville, and Jeremiah Green, of Union Grove; three daughters, Jaquela Green, Nakyia Green, Ariana Green; one brother, Rahkim Sharpe of Statesville; two sisters, Ebony (Tajh) Green Keaton of Statesville, and Aljuriah Mitter of Winston-Salem; four uncles, John Wayne (Louvinia) Green of Statesville, Paul Sharpe of Maryland, Rick Sharpe of Maryland, and Gary Sharpe of Las Vagas; three aunts, Alice Avery of Statesville, Carolyn Green of New Jersey, and Jeanette Sharpe of Statesville; five grandchildren. Kenyon Green, Kameron Davidson, Kaizer Thompson, Kobe Doughty, and Laici Donghty; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge & Bigham Mortuary, Statesville. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Reverend Barbara McCollum bringing the eulogy, and Michael Sharpe will officiate. Burial will follow in the Belmont cemetery.
