Ms. Grace Monia Lee Whiteside passed away on Sunday morning, June 30, 2024, at First Health Hospice in West End, N.C. She was born in Iredell County on July 19, 1955, and was the daughter of the late Broadie W. Whiteside and Eva Elizabeth Steele Whiteside. She was raised by Ms. Pearl Houser.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Sarah Currey, Penny Whiteside, Broadie Whiteside and Larry Whiteside.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her siblings, Dulcina Singletary, Eva W. (James) Corry, Robert L. (Robin Heaggans) Whiteside and Geneva W. (Harvey) Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, July 5, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend Jimmy Griffin will officiate and Reverend J. Ruth Shields will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

Ms. Whiteside will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, where members of the family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service, but will assemble at the residence
