Grady “Delane” Marlowe, 87, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Jurney’s of Statesville. He was born on February 9, 1937 in Mooresville, N.C., to the late Alger Grady Marlowe and Dora Mills Marlowe.

Mr. Marlowe was owner and operator of Periphlex Manufacturing in Mooresville. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church, Mooresville, where he was a member of the Elder Men’s Sunday School class.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Brown Marlowe.

He is survived by his children, Gregory Marlowe (Tammy), Alicia Burris (Baxter), David Marlowe (Chris), and Susan Danna (Paul); sister, Diane Torrence (Bo); grandchildren, Lane Marlowe (Rachel), Jacob Marlowe (Jana), Katheryn Hauser, Tyler Marlowe (Amber), and Zach Marlowe; great grandchildren, Madison Marlowe, Reese Marlowe, Addison Marlowe; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Collette officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
