Harold Dale, a man of steadfast determination, unwavering loyalty, and boundless love, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 96. Harold was a true embodiment of the American spirit, a life forged by courage, resilience, and an enduring love for those he held dear.

Born and raised in North Carolina, Harold’s roots ran deep in the Southern soil he called home. As a young man, he answered the call of duty and served his country honorably overseas, facing the unimaginable hardships of war with courage and selflessness. Through it all, he carried the essence of his upbringing — a grounded faith in hard work, love, and resilience.

After returning from war (Vietnam and Korea) and retiring from the U.S. Army (20 years), Harold devoted his life to building a better future for his family. He worked tirelessly on the railroads, ensuring the world around him kept moving forward. It was during this time that his love for Bonnie, his steadfast partner and wife, flourished. Together, they built a home full of warmth and laughter, raising three children who were the light of his life. Harold’s love for his family was immeasurable, and he taught his children to lead with kindness and strength.

Despite experiencing the trials of poverty and the ravages of war, Harold’s heart remained open, and his love for others never wavered. Nowhere was this more evident than in the joy he found in his great-grandchildren, Savannah, Fiona, and Mikey. They were his pride and joy, a testament to the legacy of love and resilience he leaves behind.

Harold Dale’s life was a testament to the power of perseverance and the enduring strength of love. He leaves behind a legacy rooted in humility, kindness, and a fierce devotion to family. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were lucky enough to know him.
