James “Jim” Reid Moore Sr., 77, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born on September 17, 1946, in Statesville, N.C., to the late James and Lila Troutman Moore.

He was a graduate of Statesville High School, Gordon Military Academy in Barnesville, Ga., and a Certified Home Furnishings Representative for the furniture industry for over 40 years. A Mason and former member of the Statesville Lodge, he was a family man who loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish Jim’s memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Susan Johnston Moore; children, Jennifer Elaine Moore, Samantha Moore Buxton and husband Greg, James “J.R.” Reid Moore Jr. and wife Christy; sister, Susan Moore Holbrook; and fur baby, Xander.

No services will be scheduled at this time.
