Janice Barnette Havner, 72, of Mount Ulla, N.C., passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at her residence.

She was born on June 3, 1951, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Walter and Margaret Gibson Havner. Mrs. Havner was a retired Real Estate administrator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Steven Havner; and her sister, Marilyn Sloop.

She is survived by her son, Michael Scott Havner and wife Lisa; sister, Carol Barringer and husband Steve; granddaughter, Maggie Havner and fiancé, Zachary Harris.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at Triplett Methodist Church with Rev. Jim King and Rev. Richard D. Auten officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
